Cadets from all military academies, the Main School of Fire Service and the Police Academy participated in the solemn assembly on the occasion of Cadet Day and the 192nd anniversary of the outbreak of the November Uprising. The report on the readiness for the roll call on the occasion of Cadet Day was submitted to the President by the Honorary Duty Officer, sierż. cadet Bartłomiej Jędrychowicz from the Military University of Technology.
The honorary maces of the Polish Army were presented to the Rectors by the Vice-President of the Council of Ministers, the Minister of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak.
Addressing the participants of the ceremony gathered in the courtyard, the President of the Republic of Poland extended his best wishes to the cadets of military universities on their holiday.
Military students of the Military University of Technology, dressed in both contemporary and historical uniforms, and cadets from the Main School of Fire Service took over the post of honor. In honor of those who died in the service of the homeland, a salute of honor was fired. The Appeal of Remembrance was read by WAT cadet Szymon Wójcik.
During the ceremony, Mariusz Błaszczak, Vice-President of the Council of Ministers, Minister of National Defense, presented awards to the winners of two competitions organized by the Ministry of National Defense. In the competition for the implementation of Unmanned Systems: Air, Land and Maritime for applications related to national defense and security, awards were received by five team leaders, including three from the Military University of Technology.
Thanking the President of the Republic of Poland for the opportunity to award the winners in the Belvedere courtyard, the Minister of National Defense encouraged young people to join the ranks of the Polish army. “Today's challenges posed by the world mean that we should expand the Polish Army, and we are consistently doing it. That is why I encourage everyone who has not made a decision about their future to join the Polish Army,” said Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Błaszczak.
The ceremony ended with the playing of the Representative Song of the Polish Army and a parade of subunits.
