Major General Dariusz Pluta, PhD

 

Major General Dariusz Pluta is a graduate of Warsaw Military University of Technology (1989), Radom University of Technology (1998), Naval Command College in Newport, USA (2009) and War Studies University in Warsaw (PhD in Social Sciences in 2019).

 

Between 1989 and 1997 he served in Military Education and Research Centre of Fuels and Lubricants Service in Puławy and later in Military Research and Development Centre of  Fuels and Lubricants Service in Warsaw. In 1997–2002 he was assigned to the Department of Development and Implementation and to the Armament Policy Department of the Ministry of National Defence.

In 2004–2006, he was the Chief of Technical Modernization Planning Branch of the General Strategic Planning Directorate J5. Later, in 2007–2011 he was the Chief of Materiel Procurement Planning Branch of Materiel Expenditure Directorate J8. Both assignments in the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces.

In 2011–2015 he was the Commander of 1st Logistics Brigade in Bydgoszcz. In 2015–2016, he was the Chief of Logistics Planning Directorate of the General Command of the Polish Armed Forces.

 

On 16 December 2016, by the decision of the Minister of National Defence, he was assigned as the Chief of the Armament Inspectorate.

 

By the decision of the President of the Republic of Poland, on 1 August 2018 he was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General.

 

On 3 August 2020, by the decision of the Minister of National Defence he was appointed as Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces.

 

On March 2021, he was promoted to the rank of Major General.
