  • General information
    HOW TO CHOOSE THE COURSES FROM THE OFFER ?
    • for each field of studies there is prepared a set of subject that can be selected – Core Module and Specialized Module;
    • it is not allowed to combine and choose courses from different fields of study;
    • it is possible to expand the Core Module and Specialized Module by adding courses from the General Courses if needed;
    • Polish language and culture course (30 hours = 0 ECTS) is obligatory for each chosen Module. The course credit will be obtained on the basis of the student’s attendance during the classes;
    • it is possible to change any course chosen from the General Courses to Polish language and culture course (60 hours = 2 ECTS) if needed;
    • there is also the possibility of preparing a Diploma Project (15 ECTS) at the MUA. In case of being interested in, please, contact directly the MUA Erasmus+ Faculty Coordinator or Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinator who will provide you with the Polish Air Force University tutor/supervisor/mentor supporting you later during the project preparation;
     
    ECTS points requirement advice:
    1 full academic year mobility exchange = 60 ECTS credit points
    1 full semester mobility exchange = 30 ECTS credit points
    3 months mobility exchange = 20 ECTS credit points

    Characteristics of qualification: The aim of the study is to provide knowledge in the field of general and technical studies as well as the latest and most important contents related to the safe use and handling of the aircraft. Besides, the graduate will gain the skills of safe exploitation of appliances and equipment, adequate to the specialization. The graduate is prepared to work independently, has the ability to work in a team, discuss the results of research and observation and formulate reviews. Graduates of the first-cycle studies in the field of Aviation and Aerospace are prepared to perform engineering tasks in the modern aviation industries and in companies operating aircraft. They also have the ability to transfer modern aviation technology to other industries, and especially to those which perform aviation and aerospace tasks.

    Characteristics of qualification: A graduate of the second-cycle studies in Aviation and Aerospace has the ability to safely operate equipment and aircraft. The graduate is prepared to work independently moreover, has the ability to work in a team, discuss the results of research and observation and formulate reviews. The graduate will receive a master's degree in engineering.

    Requirements for candidates: The studies are designed for secondary school graduates who have passed secondary school leaving exam (A-level). The specializations courses are dedicated to civilian students. 
    Limits (number of students): 20 or multiple of 20 in subsequent years.

    Characteristics of qualification: The studies prepare high-quality professionals responsible for the operation of the navigation systems and air traffic management. The graduate of the first-cycle studies obtains a university degree and professional qualifications to perform a function in the air transport related institutions and its services. Moreover, the graduate will have a theoretical background to work in research teams related to aviation, land, maritime and air traffic. The navigation graduate receives the title of the engineer. A graduate of the first-cycle studies in the field of airport infrastructure has extensive knowledge of the theoretical foundations of navigation and radio navigation, the construction, and operation of airport infrastructure and the ability to operate radio navigation equipment and systems, especially those which serve as aerodrome equipment. The first-cycle degree graduate in air traffic management has extensive knowledge of airspace management systems, air traffic flow management and organization, and air traffic management skills using radar and radio communication systems and equipment.

    Characteristics of qualification: A graduate of the second-cycle studies of Navigation will gain a master's degree and a professional qualification to perform functions in the air transport related institutions and their service, in accordance with the completed education specialization. He will also have the necessary theoretical background to work in research teams related to air navigation, especially air traffic services. The graduate will receive a master's degree in engineering.

  • General Education Department
    General Education Department Course Catalog for Academic Year 2021/2022
     
     The General Education Department is an independent organizational unit at the Polish Air Force University. There are two laboratories within the Department: Polish and World History Section and the Applied Sciences Section.
     
    Polish and World History Section
     
    The section undertakes research projects on social, economic and political issues of the 19th and 20th  centuries.  Additionally, the section’s staff are involved in conducting history classes for students of all courses available at the university. 
     
    Applied Sciences Section
     
    The Section of Applied Sciences includes two subject area teams whose work covers issues concerning mathematics and statistics as well as broadly understood physics. As ragards teaching, classes are conducted for both military and civilian students of all faculties and courses available. The lecturers specialize in mathematics, physics, general mechanics, electrical engineering, electronics and thermodynamics. The teaching base includes Integrated Laboratory of Physics, Mechanics and Thermodynamics, Laboratory of Electrical Engineering and Electronics, Laboratory of Statistical Analysis and Mathematical Modelling.
