We spent the winter semester of 2021/2022 academic year in École Nationale de L'aviation Civile in Toulouse, France within the frame of Erasmus+ programme.
Toulouse is a city of aviation and one of the largest and most important cities in Europe when it comes to aviation equipment production, it's also a home for a lot of companies from this sector, scientific institutes or The National Centre for Space Studies.  École Nationale de L'aviation Civile is one of the best aviation academies in Europe, it educates pilots, air traffic controllers, engineers and other specialists in the field of aviation and space.

The only semester  conducted for Erasmus+ students in English is the 9th semester in the specialty of Air Operations and Safety. Lectures and practical classes are conducted by experienced specialists, who are very often active employees from aviation companies, such as Thales, ATR or Airbus. We had to pass a lot of exams, divided into sessions in November/December and February. Apart from that, we also worked in international groups on such projects as: designing a plan of Lyon Airport or designing an airplane from the basics.

To sum up, there is a lot of studying and work and the studies are quite demanding, but it's worth going there. Nevertheless, we found some time for travelling and making new friends. Using the opportunity to buy cheap plane or railway tickets, we went sightseeing to such places as: Albi, Montauban, Carcassonne, Grenoble, Marseille, Andora, Barcelona or Malta.

Spending one semester at a university abroad was an incredible chance to see French culture, meet a lot of interesting people, learn the basics of a new language and to take part in involving classes, frequently conducted in a different way from the one we know.

We are really glad to have had the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in a different environment. We truly recommend using the opportunity to travel abroad within the frame of the Erasmus+ programme to every student!
