ABOUT THE PROJECT
 
The aim of the project is to develop innovative strategies to boost mobility (especially in the field of military students mobility) or ways to remove obstacles to mobility between military academies in the EU, providing more opportunities for students to gain additional skills through study and/or training abroad.

 

Additionally, the project will contribute to developing the guidelines for coherent tranning in military academies in the EU and will enhance cooperation between institutions of military education.

 

The final result of the project is to create an International Military Leadership Academy as a perfect addition to the study program, insisting on the practical methods of acquisition and improvement of interpersonal skills in international conditions.

 

 

International Military Leadership Academy – programme of 4 workshops.

 

Partner institutions have to develop in the frame of project four programs of workshops with the centres of excellence. This will allow them to develop leadership competencies in the following areas:

TARGET GROUPS

 

The project is addressed to:

  • Military students - officer candidates from three (3) European military academies. The group of students will be selected by each participating institution (recruitment criteria will be defined during the project or coordination meetings). Students who take part in the project will be awarded 6 ECTS points – 2 points for the didactic programme (blended mobility) and 4 points for the intensive course.
  • Teachers representing each of 3 military academies participating in the project.

 


GOALS

The final result of the project is to create the International Military Leadership Academy, as a perfect addition to the existing study program, focused on the practical methods of acquisition and improvement of interpersonal skills within international einviroment. The objectives are:

  • Promoting the security of the EU, by: developing European citizenship and identification with the values of the EU; strengthening active participation and co-responsibility for EU common security.
  • Strengthening the competences of cadets in working in international environment, by allowing them to participate in the events during the transnational workshops and military exercises, during which they would have the opportunity to lead a multinational teams.
  • Strengthening cadets leadership competencies and emotional intelligence, i.e. communication, self-reflection, motivation, team-building skills, influencing team-members, recognizing their own emotions and the ability to lead.
  • Building a platform of understanding and cooperation, expanding the network of contacts through mobility and intercultural dialogue and mutual cooperation, presenting the culture and history of their own country.
  • Development and improvement of interpersonal skills of future leaders with the help of a simulation model of education.
