The ASTER is a motorised platoon simulator with a KTO Rosomak featuring a 30mm gun turret.
The simulator has the following functionalities:
- Conducting exercises in a virtual environment, in various weather and terrain conditions.
- Interacting with other practising individuals (combat-vehicle crews) or objects fully simulated by the computer (friendly, enemy and neutral forces).
- Monitoring all objects and events in real time and space – by the director of training.
- Generating objective data for the purposes of after-action reviews, with reference to practising individuals and sections, crews/teams and the platoon.
- Improving practising individuals’ manual and tactical skills on the virtual battlefield.
- Coordinating individual officers in the team, and coordinating teams within the platoon.
