This system facilitates bilateral practical tactical exercises up to the level of the infantry company. The LSS has the following functionalities:
- Conducting exercises in various weather and terrain conditions (in open, forested and urban areas).
- Simulating the impact of direct and indirect fire (artillery, air strikes), chemical weapons, and toxic industrial agents, on soldiers and vehicles.
- Monitoring all objects and events in real time and space – by the director of training, by mapping them in the system.
- Generating objective data for the purposes of after-action review, with reference to practising individuals, sections, teams and platoons.
