The Drone Laboratory was established in order to strengthen the research potential of the Military Univesity of Land Forces and cooperation with the units of the University and other higher education and scientific institutions in the field of robotics and UAVs.
The Laboratory provides access to facilities and equipment which support scientific research in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles and systems and aid in the educational process for cadets and participants of courses offered by the AWL.
The main research tasks are focused on:
  • research aimed at using robots and unmanned aerial systems (UAVs) in various scientific fields (e.g. management, command),
  • research utilising detectors and sensors to support soldiers via UAVs,
  • research related to UAV autonomy,
  • support for research related to assessment of human behaviour in the context of potential military threats,
  • research on the use of remote sensing and photogrammetry.
