On 19-20 October this year, the university was visited by a delegation from the Brandenburg Army Command deployed in Potsdam and headed by Lt. Gen. Frank Zinnow.
The purpose of the visit, organised by the Voivodeship Military Headquarters in Zielona Góra, was to learn more about the university and the system of preparing officers for the Polish Armed Forces.

On behalf of the Rector-Commander, the guests were welcomed by Adam Januszko, Dsc, Eng., MBA – the Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs. The German visitors were particularly interested in "Kryzys'' – a crisis drill conducted by the university every year. A briefing on the drill was presented by Lieutenant Colonel Piotr Szczepański, PhD Eng. –the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs of the Faculty of Security Studies.

On the second day of their stay, the delegation went to the "Wysoki Kamień" Mountain Training Centre in Szklarska Poręba, where they took part in a conference called "The mountain environment of the warfare – experiences and perspectives" and visited the training facilities there.

The Brandenburg Army Command is interested in further cooperation with the university, especially with regards to crisis response.
