The Inauguration of the AWL 2023 International Semester began with a solemn welcome led by the Institutional Erasmus+ Programme Coordinator. The meeting was also attended by the representatives of the Institute of Leadership, Faculty of Security Studies, Department of International Cooperation and Social Communication and Career and Erasmus Programme Office, academic teachers and students who are members of the International Exchange Section.

An officer from the Department of International Cooperation and Social Communication went over the education and training system at the AWL for the students, then a representative of the Career and Erasmus Programme Office provided the students with information on their duties as Erasmus+ grant holders and their rights under the Erasmus Student Charter.  The meeting ended with a joint photo in front of the monument of the General Tadeusz Kosciuszko and a guided tour around the premises of the Academy for foreign students.

The Career and Erasmus Programme Office has also prepared a cultural programme for international students, which consists of study trips to cities of historical importance for Poles (such as Kraków, including the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum, the Srebrnogórska Fortress and the "Osówka" Underground City).

The Office's permanent offer also includes the organisation of the "International Erasmus Day", which is when Erasmus+ students present their home universities and their culture during a special event with Polish food and drinks prepared for them.

Foreign students will participate in over 18 courses taught in English by the AWL teaching staff and invited lecturers from foreign partner universities.

The International Semester 2023 will end with the participation of the above-mentioned cadets in the International Military Leadership Course (IMLC) organized in June by Institute of Leadership and the Career and Erasmus Office in Szklarska Poręba.
